The 21st annual street festival and railroad extravaganza celebrates Ashland’s love for trains.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
RAILROAD HISTORY & LORE
A museum, two historical societies, and singing storytellers bring Virginia’s railroad history to life.
LOCOMOTIVES
More than 12 fully-loaded CSX freight trains and Amtrak passenger trains will roll through the center of the event.
MODEL TRAINS
Model trains on display of every size and scale, including lego and racing trains. Plus vintage railroad equipment and a red caboose!
TRUCKS ON DISPLAY
Gear heads of all ages will be amazed at the display of heavy equipment, fire truck and ambulance, dump trucks and tractors.
KID ZONE
A world of fun with a bouncy house, obstacle course, and games.
KIDDIE TRAIN RIDES
Three kiddie train rides invite families to tour the festivities. All aboard!
CELEBRACIÓN DEL DÍA DEL NIÑO
Celebrate Mexican Children’s Day with clowns, dancers, and a magical juggler.
SCAVENGER HUNT
Collect stamps as you explore the event. Trade your completed ticket for a free prize!
PARKING SHUTTLES
Buses and trolleys carry participants from satellite parking areas to the event.
HEADQUARTERS
More than 100 community volunteers make the event possible, along with first responders from Ashland, Hanover, Randolph-Macon College, and CSX.
