Deck the Halls has been a major fundraising event for more than 10 years. Proceeds from Deck the Halls always go to entities benefiting women and children in crisis.
This year’s beneficiary is Hanover Safe Place in Ashland. Hanover Safe Place is a non-profit organization providing confidential services to persons who experience domestic or sexual violence in Hanover County, VA and the Town of Ashland since the early 1990s. Included in these services are a free and confidential 24-hour crisis hot line, emergency shelter, support groups and case management.
How does Deck the Halls work? For a small entry donation, you can make as many fresh decorations as you can carry! We have experts to help you every step of the way. Create wreaths, swags, boxwood circles, table toppers, candle surrounds and more! Our fresh cut greenery includes pine, cedar, hemlock, fraser fir, holly, nandina and boxwood all cut from historic farms in Hanover County.
We have everything you need to make your one-of-a-kind holiday decorations–bows, wreath forms, wire, clippers and cutters. Table experts from the area garden clubs provide hands-on guidance.
Visit the toasty warm Big Red Barn to enjoy wonderful holiday sweets, hot beverages and holiday music.
Not feeling particularly crafty this year? For a small donation, you can purchase beautiful fresh decorations created by our experts.
